About Me
Hi, my name is Susan, and I would first like to thank you for taking the time to visit me here at Miss Joy's Ornaments. Next, I would like to take a little bit of time to tell you about myself and how Miss Joy's Ornaments came to be.
Kelsey is my oldest granddaughter and a cancer survivor. She turned 6 in February. (Praise be to God). My daughter Sarah and I originally began Kelsey's Korner as a type of therapeutic creative outlet for dealing with the day to day trials of cancer treatment. Since then, it has become a true love and passion of mine. I can't express how much joy I get from creating these ornaments and hearing how much they are appreciated by those who receive them. As my daughter's family has grown and Kelsey has recovered and been able to become involved in more activities, she has stepped aside and allowed me full creative control of the business. This year I decided to change the name to Miss Joy's Ornaments since I now have 3 other grandchildren and they are all the joys of my life.
My other grandchildren are Abigail who is 4, Madeline is 2 1/2 and Simon is 9 months old. My husband, Marty, and I have been married 29 years. Our two daughters, Sarah and Hillary, are both grown. Sarah is married to a wonderful man.
When I am not spending time with my family or making ornaments, I am a Massage and Clinical Trigger Point Therapist. I love my job, as it allows me the privilege of helping people on a daily basis.
God has truly blessed me in so many ways!
Blessings to all, Susan |
